FAQ

How long until my order ships?

It depends on what you bought.

New OEM short blocks (factory Subaru motors, unmodified) ship in 3–5 business days.

Built motors — forged short blocks, long blocks, and cylinder head work — are built to order in our shop. Lead time is 2–4 weeks from your order date. Your motor enters the build queue when you order. It does not exist yet. That is the point.

Stocked parts (air/oil separators, exhausts, power blocks, gaskets) ship within normal business processing.

Lead times are stated on every product page, up top.

What does "built to order" mean?

Your motor is built for you, in the order your order was received. Prep and inspection, machine work, assembly, final inspection — done one motor at a time, in our shop. Nobody keeps a $7,000 long block on a shelf. The economics don't work and the quality control is worse.

Where is my motor in the build?

Build updates live on the motor worksheet. That is where the motor data lives. Check there.

What does shipping cost?

US orders over $100: free.

US orders under $100: UPS ground at checkout.

OEM motors: freight is calculated at checkout. They are heavy. They do not ship free.

International orders: full shipping, always. Nothing ships internationally for free.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Shipping is calculated live at checkout through USPS, UPS, and DHL. You pay the full rate.

How do I know a part fits my car?

Check the fitment listed on the product page. If your car is not listed and you are not sure, ask before you buy. It is a five-minute question that prevents a very expensive mistake.

What is your return policy?

Built-to-order motors are final sale. Once your motor enters the queue, parts are ordered and machine time is scheduled.

Stocked parts: contact us about returns. Parts must be unused and in original packaging.

Do you offer discounts?

No. As a matter of policy, Crawford does not discount.

Do you do sponsorships?

Thanks for thinking of Crawford. We don't do traditional sponsorships — our brand ambassadors are current Crawford clients. To be considered, buy a Crawford component and apply.

I have a technical question about my install.
