CrawfordSPEC Forged Pistons and Rods for Subaru

CrawfordSPEC internals are the same pistons and rods that go into every Crawford built short block and long block, sold separately for builders assembling their own engine. Every piston was developed with JE Pistons and every rod with Pauter, to Crawford's own specs, and every one is sized for the OEM bore so you never need to bore the block.

  • EJ257 (STI 2004–2021): S2, S3L-X and S3L-X FSR packages, rated 450 to 600+ whp
  • EJ20 / EJ255 (WRX): S2 and S3L-X packages
  • FA20 DIT (WRX 2015–2021): S3L-X DIT, rated 600 whp
  • FA20 (BRZ / FR-S / 86): S3L-X Turbo for boosted builds

What makes them different

  • Exclusive dish design: more vacuum at idle, lower crankcase pressure, more power at the same boost
  • FSR billet option: CNC-machined 2618-T6, up to 32 g lighter, 9310 steel wrist pins
  • Rods are longer than stock for a better rod ratio, billet 4340 chrome-moly
