Two Crawford Cars at the Petersen Museum

In 2025, two cars Crawford built stood in a museum.
The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles opened "People's Champ: The Impact of Ken Block" on February 15, 2025. The exhibition, presented with the 43 Institute, ran in the Meyer Gallery through November 5, 2025.
Two of the cars on the floor were Crawford's: the Gymkhana One STI and the Gymkhana Two STI. Crawford built both cars for Ken Block nearly two decades earlier. Those builds are where the Gymkhana name started for Crawford.
Museums do not put work on the floor because a shop says it matters. They put it there because it did.
The motor came first
The Gymkhana cars were not an exhaust and a video. They were full builds, motor first. That motor work is still the core of the catalog:
- Ken Block Spec EJ257 Long Block — the long block built to the Gymkhana cars' spec
- Crawford Built EJ257 Short Block — for 2004–2021 STI
- CrawfordSPEC Forged Pistons — EJ257 internals
- Heritage — EJ Engines & Internals collection
The AOS started there, too
Crawford developed the original closed-loop Subaru Air/Oil Separator, and the AOS V2 — Ken Block Gymkhana Practice carried that name on the 2004–2007 STI. Every Crawford AOS is made in the USA with USA components. The full line is in the Heritage — The Original AOS collection.
The cars are history. The exhausts are not.
The Gymkhana exhaust line came out of those builds, and Crawford still sells it.
- Gymkhana One exhaust — for 2002–2007 WRX and STI
- Heritage Gymkhana Exhausts collection — Gymkhana One, Gymkhana Two, and Gymkhana 3 exhausts for WRX, STI, BRZ/FR-S/GT86, Crosstrek, and Impreza
Same name. Same job. Built for drivers, not for a display stand.
