It is standard in this industry that when upgrading your vehicle with more power, the clutch is one of the first things to replace. The BRZ/FR-S/86 does not come with a bullet-proof transmission like we have seen with other Subaru models, so this is a touchy upgrade. We have tested quite a few different setups in our white shop BRZ, and after much trial and error, we decided to have Exedy work directly with us to come up with a clutch and flywheel combination that is built to last, all the while holding our high torque #'s. This kit is exclusive to Crawford Performance and cannot be found from other dealers.

This is not a clutch suited for your girlfriend. It is aggressive and less user-friendly than our Stage 1 option or EXEDY's Standard Stage 2 option. With a clamp load of 1652, we have seen this clutch handle torque numbers of 400 all the way to 600 with minimal slippage. If your torque numbers are lower than 450, check out our other options as they are more street-able and comfortable options.. girlfriend approved! If you prefer the heavier feel of a clutch and want to keep your flywheel stock, click here for EXEDY's Standard Stage 2 option that is also rated for high torque.. just not as high as this one.
