The oversized, conical filter design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom heat shield or air box helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 90 minutes. Filtration & Engine Protection

K&N high flow filter media has been tested in our own in-house laboratories and by independent labs using the ISO5011 air filtration standard developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
K&N Air Filter Oil
A K&N reusable filter is designed with four to six layers of cotton gauze media sandwiched between two aluminum wire screens. The cotton media is then treated with a specially formulated grade of filter oil that causes tackiness throughout the cotton's microscopic strands.
